Christmas greeting

Pax optima rerum!

This year, we wish ourselves and this world one thing above all else: peace. In the face of war, Silius Italicus – like many people before him and perhaps even more people after him – came to the conclusion that peace was man’s greatest good. What’s more: peace is also more powerful than countless triumphs (pax una triumphis innumeris potior). May the power of peace work again in all countries and among all people!
We would like to thank our authors for their trusting and successful cooperation, our graphic designers for the always appropriate individual design of the manuscripts and our printers, who almost always fulfil our special requests – as if by a small Christmas miracle. We would also like to thank you, the readers of our books, for your interest and curiosity.
We wish you a Merry Christmas and all the best for the New Year!
